PSORINIL OINTMENT 20 g I For Itchy Skin, Psoriasis, Ringworm, Scabies
₹120.00
Common causes of itchy skin include several conditions described in both Ayurveda and modern medical science. In modern medicine, pruritus commonly arises from eczema, psoriasis, allergic reactions, fungal infections such as daad (tinea corporis), dry skin, or systemic issues like diabetes and thyroid imbalance. Ayurveda explains itching (kandu) as mainly due to vitiation of Kapha and Pitta, which can cause conditions such as Kustha, Sheetapitta, Udarda, Pama, and other Tvak-vikaras. Dryness-related itching is often linked to Vata aggravation, while allergic or inflammatory patterns involve Pitta. Both systems agree that disrupted skin barrier, inflammation, microbial imbalance, and immune disturbances are major contributors to itchy skin.
Itchy skin can be relieved by first identifying and treating the underlying cause, such as dryness, allergy, or infection. Modern medical care often includes moisturizers, antihistamines for allergies, antifungals for fungal infections, or topical steroids for inflammatory conditions. Ayurveda focuses on balancing aggravated Vata, Pitta, or Kapha through herbs, lifestyle, and diet; remedies like Neem, Haridra, Manjistha, Aloe vera, and Nimba oil are commonly used for kandu (itching). Internal herbs such as Guduchi, Triphala, and Khadirarishta help detoxify and calm skin inflammation. External applications like Kumkumadi taila, Aloe gel, or Neem paste soothe irritation and support healing. Keeping the skin hydrated, avoiding harsh soaps, and following a Pitta- and Vata-pacifying diet further helps prevent recurrence.
Psorinil Ointment contains Neem, Haldi, and Kutaj chhal, herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for managing inflammatory and skin-related disorders. Neem helps soothe irritation, reduce itching, and control microbial growth that can worsen eczema and fungal-type itching. Haldi (Turmeric) supports the reduction of redness, scaling, and inflammation seen in psoriasis and eczema due to its well-known antioxidant and soothing properties. Kutaj chhal is traditionally used to balance Pitta and Kapha, helping reduce oozing, irritation, and skin discomfort. Together, these herbs help calm skin inflammation, support healing of dry and scaly patches, and provide soothing relief from persistent itching when used regularly as part of a skin-care regimen.
